While safety checks on Great Western Railway's IET express trains continue, an emergency timetable will operate on the Cotswold Line until further notice.

A shuttle service worked by Turbo diesel units is running between Oxford and Worcester's Shrub Hill or Foregate Street stations, with passengers travelling to and from London and Reading having to change trains at Oxford, or at Worcester for connections to Great Malvern and Hereford.

The morning and afternoon Cotswold Line commuter trains serving the small stations in West Oxfordshire are planned to run at their normal times.

Cracks have been found in the suspension of some Hitachi-built Class 80x type train, so all units of this design operated by GWR, London & North Eastern Railway, TransPennine Express and Hull Trains are being given detailed inspections.

Passengers are advised to check whether their trains are running before setting out to the station. Service updates are available at the following links:

GWR tickets are being accepted for travel between London and Oxford by Chiltern Railways and between Reading and Oxford by CrossCountry Trains. Passengers travelling between Herefordshire, Worcestershire and London can also use GWR tickets on West Midlands Railway and Avanti West Coast Trains services to travel to and from London Euston via Birmingham.

GWR local services, including those on the route between Great Malvern, Worcester, Cheltenham, Gloucester and Bristol are operating to normal timetables.
